After playing Gamecube game on the Wii, how can i go back to the main menu?

If i’m playing a Gamecube game on the Wii, and i want to play another gamecube game, how can i go back to the Wii main menu so i can change the game?
the wii menu button on the wii remote works ONLY when playing Wii games. but it doesn’t work at all while playing gamecube game.

So the only thing i’m doing now is just turn the Wii off and on again to force the Wii menu to appear so i can change the game.

Is there another way to change the gamecube game?
