How can i convince my parents to let me get a spyder 3 arctic?

I really want one, & my parents are generally pretty chilled with lasers but the most powerful i have at the moment is a 50mw green laser. To be honest, I think most of the struggle will be convincing my parents to let me get something so expensive, as they know I am sensible, so the whole dangerous thing shouldn’t be too much of a problem. And for anyone who wants to say “why do you need it?” I don’t really, its just that lasers are muy hobby & i have saved up about £400 for it, because im not sure which one i will be allowed. Anyone who says “its too dangerous” i have already said that i am responsible and as i know quite a bit about lasers i know all the safety bits & know that i need to wear the safety glasses that come with the laser. These answers about the speed of light only cause more questions.?

Scientist say nothing can travel at the speed of light but light does. The simple explanation that travelling at the speed of light means it would increase to infinite mass must mean that light has no mass otherwise it would already be infinite in size. Does green laser light travel at the same speed as red laser light? Since these are related only by frequency does the doppler effect come into play?
Pardon my ignorance but I’m still confused. The science channel says that a light on a spaceship moving at say 0.5 x speed of light will still only move towards me at the speed of light and not 1.5 times the speed of light. So how can a red laser beam conform to the doppler theory. It seems that it would be impossible to accelerate a red laser on a spaceship towards me so that as it approached me it looked say green.

Green laser question – 5MW or 20MW?

Alright – I’m going to order a green laser from Amazon. I don’t want it to be powerful enough to cause eye damage of ANY kind (casual use laser), but I want the beam to be easily seen at night for at least 50 yards or so. I am looking at some green 5MW 532nm (what is nm?) and some 20 MW lasers. I don’t want it to burn or anything, so what so I choose?

it is an energizer red laser pointer (the one with the pointer finer, arroww, ect.) it says max output<5mW, WAVELENGTH 650nm.
i dont care about air impuriteies, or how far a green laser pointer can go, please just tell me how far the beam can normally go, given the information provided

I heard that above 10mw is seized by customs coming from China. Is there a way my friend in Canada can order it and ship it or drive it to me? Or is the only way to build my own?
