How to get strobe-type deterrent lighting?

Behind our housing community, there is a private street that we use only for parking. Recently, there have been some burglaries of cars, and we’re looking for a nighttime, strobe type system at each entrance, which will incorporate a thousandth-of-a-second burst of light as a deterrent to trespassers — something similar to the traffic cameras that flash to record license numbers of speeders in our area…but we wouldn’t want the cost of a camera attachment, only the motion-sensitive single burst of strobe light as a deterrent. Any ideas where we could purchase such a system at a reasonable cost (maybe no more than $100 for each unit)? We could provide pole installation and hard-wiring. Thanks.

My browser resizes by itself non-stop?

Its seems to be resizing so fast non-stop, almost like a strobe light flashing. I can close the browser, but when i open it again it just starts flashing again. The problem eventually goes away after a few minutes. I’ve tried reinstalling Firefox, and i also tried switching to Chrome, but it hasn’t worked.

Is it illegal for a cop to use his emergency lights when there is no emergency?

the police use their lights all the time, when they are only supposed to use the lights for emergencies, i heard it is a felony violation of oath of office, can someone please varify this with case law?

can I be charged with impersonating a public servant?

my friend who is a firefighter in texas has emergency lights that emergency vehicles use.. he recently took his vehicle back to where he got it due to mechanical issues, I helped him take it back, so all the equipment he had was placed in my truck. he did hook up some of his emergency lights because he might be using my truck for emergencies, i am not a public servant and I was driving down interstate, i accidently turned the lights on and did not know it. I flashed a state trooper. he gave me a ticket for unauthorized use of the lights and said he was going to try to charge me with impersonating an officer, i in NO way would ever do that.. what should I do?

I’m looking for a type of novelty night light that is like a strobe light and projects dots of light that move. The thing is I’m not looking for a disco ball. I do not like that type of look. Also I’m looking for something that moves slowly and is relaxing. I’m not looking for something that moves fast for nightclub dancing. I also want something that doesn’t take up a lot of space and just shoots up on the ceiling and/or one wall.

I’m not sure how to go about doing a search to find this type of device. Can anyone help or know of some companies with online websites that I can check out?

To be a tad bit more descriptive the effect of the images projected onto the floor or wall or ceiling can be like five pointed stars. They move slowly across a surface and create a surreal relaxing effect. It could also be circles or other shapes. But I don’t think they are laser beams.

Law regarding emergency lights in PA?

What are the laws pertaining to emergency lights on a non-emergency vehicle using amber colored lights in PA? I.E. a dump truck, etc.

Well I don\’t travel with my laptop and I purchased a charger from the laptop manufacture Toshiba, so now?

I have 2 chargers. Once I took the battery out and put it back in the warning lights that let you know the battery is drained changed to the color orange like it’s suppose to do. Eventually I think I will need a new battery because it doesn’t stay charged longer than maybe an hour and a half. My question is why do I have to take the battery out every time it’s drain and its back to normal?I snap it back in place and lock the side lock that’s back there but I still have to take it out and place it back so the laptop will actually charge, if I don’t the 2 lights on the bottom left of the laptop will stay green when drain and won’t charge. Can I get some help with this if you can?

I get this big shadow in my photos when i use flash?

ok, i so i just got this new strobe light for photogrpahy and when i lower the f-stop or increase the shutter speed theres a big black shadow across my photo???, i know its not the lense becasue it works when i take away the flash?? its really annoying what is it?????

I\’m having a weird dream again, what does it mean?

Someone tried to answer this but the answer they gave said dreams mean nothing but they used a dream interpreter with courses in dream interpretation as a source. So I didn’t necessarily trust the answer. For months I’ve had this dream every night. I don’t know what that one means. I’ve asked it before on Y!A if you are able to access it. But last night my dream took a turn that I haven’t seen in years. This dream seems familiar, and I swear I’ve had it years ago. I’m sitting in this dimly hotel room alone. I don’t really know where I am because it’s dark outside and the windows have their curtains drawn. But I’m sitting in a chair next to a small table. I would guess that I’m in another time because the room is lit by these old lamps and the only bit of technology is an old antique radio. On the table lies a newspaper and the radio. The radio is playing some old music that sounds like big band jazz. The date of the newspaper says Jan 20, 1942 but the paper looks a little worn so it could be a while later. Then suddenly the lights in the room go out. I can’t see anything anymore or hear anything. I use my hands, feeling my way for the door. I open up the door and poke my head out to investigate. There’s a hallway, the walls are all covered in pinstripe wallpaper, the paper is yellowing and peeling off in some places. The room I’m end is at the end of the hallway and as I step out of it the door slams shut. I can’t even turn the handle so I know I’m locked out. I look down the hallway and there are no other doors, as if my room is the only room on this floor. I begin to slowly walk down the hallway. At the other end of the hallway the lights are flickering on and off like strobe lights. Beyond that I can’t see anything. As I’m walking next to the flickering lights they suddenly turn very bright and I hear the building begin to move. It sounds like the building has electricity again. And then a light appears at the end of the hallway. There’s a door at the end of the hallway now. It’s a black door illuminated by the one light above it. Suddenly, behind me, I hear a rushing sound. I look behind me and there is nothing there. But as if an invisible wave is coming towards me, the lights are all going out, the wallpaper is peeling off and it’s all getting closer. I turn and run for the door. I throw it open and before I have time to react I fall. The door was a trap. I fall and hit my head and I black out. I wake up after what feels like days (in my dream still) and look around. It’s cold and dark and I’m outside. It looks like I’m at a train stop. I’m on a small platform with a single light post and a train in front with all of it’s cars open and emptied. They must have been cargo cars because they have the wide side doors and they are ventilated. I hop off the small platform into one of the cars and look around. It looks empty but I can’t tell because it’s dark. But I turn around and on the the platform there’s a lamp. Strange, it wasn’t there before but I might as well just use it. I go grab it and return to the car and look around again. It’s definitely empty but there is something strange on the walls. It looks like there are scratches on the sides. They’re all over the walls and the floors, even some on the ceilings. But in the corner of the car there is something sitting on the floor. It’s an old shoe. It’s some sort of leather shoe and it’s worn and missing its pair. Deciding that the shoe is not of much importance I walk towards the other door. As I begin to step out I immediately stop myself and pull my self back towards the car. On the ground, piled up towards the car like snow are bodies. Hundreds of bodies are piled outside of the cars like someone had pushed them out of the car and left them there. There is frost covering them and as I look I see men, women, and children all tangled in a mass of death. Their faces are pale and blue and many of them are naked or barely dressed. I close my eyes and turn away from the horror. I open them and see someone standing on the platform. I can only see their silhouette as the lamp is behind them. The figure is very tall, too tall to be human. It stands about 8 foot and appears to be wearing a hooded cloak. It’s motionless and is only standing there. Holding my lamp in front of me I call out, “Who’s there?” But still it remains motionless. I walk towards it slowly ready to run if needed. I hold up the lamp and try to see its face. As I get closer I can see that it wears a black cloak and its head is hooded. I can’t see anything in the hood. Suddenly I realize that this creature has no face. But it has hands. It’s hands, black and lifeless are reaching out for me. And then suddenly I black out and wake up. I have no idea what this dream means either. Can anyone help me?
