Instrument Display/Warning Light Issues When Starting Car?

Instrument Display/Warning Light Issues When Starting Car?

I have a 2004 Ford Taurus and have a problem(s) with the instrument panel. Every time when I start the car the tachometer needle will stay on 0 and vibrate for about 10 seconds, (making a clicking sound which seems to come from behind the dash) then resuming normal operation after about 10 seconds of the vibrating. In addition, right when this started happening a second issue started up. I’m not sure if it’s a seperate issue all together or if it’s a symptom of the original complaint. When starting the car, the Check Engine/Check Fuel Cap lights and the Driver/Passenger Door Ajar warning will turn on. When this happened, I turned off the car and tried to remove the key however, it would not release the key. After several attempts the warning lights went away and I was able to remove the key from the ignition. What could be causing these issues?

Can you please check my description of how a candle burns?

by Amy on Apr.09, 2012, under Police Light

Can you please check my description of how a candle burns?

Physical Process: Paraffin wax is a hydrocarbon (hydrogen + carbon). When the candle is lighted with a match, the wick absorbs molten wax around it and pulls it upwards. Then, the heat from the match vaporizes the wax. It is the wax vapor that subsequently burns to create and maintain a flame on the candle.

Considering the heat of the flame, it must be producing a lot of energy in the infrared part of the spectrum. In the visible part of the spectrum, the flame has a typical blackbody radiation in which the wavelengths of light (colors) depend directly on the temperature. As the incandescent carbon particles burn, they turn into carbon dioxide and produce yellow light. At the base of the flame near the wick, the incandescent hydrogen particles burn to turn into water (vapor) and produce blue light.

How do I find out if the police pulled over the person I called in driving drunk?

How do I find out if the police pulled over the person I called in driving drunk?

I was on my way home from work and someone was driving 50 mph on a 65 mph stretch of the highway an weaving very badly-he almost hit 2 people as I watched. I followed behind him with my warning lights on and called the police (non emergency number) and gave them his license place, location, direction of travel, and make and model of car. The dispatcher told me not to follow any longer because I could be blamed for an accident so I veered off. How do I find out if they caught this person?

As part of your job you are responsible for installing emergency lighting in an office building.?

As part of your job you are responsible for installing emergency lighting in an office building.?

Bids have been received from four manufacturers of emergency battery lights. The costs of the lights are about equal, so the decision as to which product to buy will be based on the length of time the lights last, on average, before failing. The sample data of the four lights is contained in a table below.

A. using a significance level of 0.01, what conclusion can you reach about the four types of bulbs, on average? Explain.

B. can you use a multiple comparison test to eliminate one of more of the manufacturers based on this data. Use the appropriate test for multiple comparisons.

C. Carefully discuss the results of your ANOVA and Tukey procedures.

Sample:
4 Different Light Manufacturers
Type A Type B Type C Type D
1024 1270 1121 923
1121 1325 1201 983
1250 1426 1190 1087
1022 1322 1122 1121
(Time in Hours)

Illegal to have blue/red strobe lights?

I have installed blue and red strobe lights inside and outside my car for the intimidating looks. I do NOT intend to turn them on-you can just see that strobe lights have been equipted. Is this illegal in California, or is it only illegal to turn them on and impersonate a police officer?
