How should I handle this problem at home?

My husband and his buddy want to open a recording studio. They are looking for space to rent and they are considering spending 500 a month on the rent for the space, plus other expenses, of course. The issue is, he is also trying to run a business at home, we have 3 kids, and you know how it goes! I am concerned with the details of how he is going to make it all work and the more questions I ask him the more he contradicts himself. First he says that he has PLENTY of time for the studio because according to him he only has to do his home business 15 hours a week tops. I don’t agree with his assessment, and he isn’t really making enough money at 15 hours a week. He said he wants to do the studio so he can make more money. So I asked him if he and his buddy have determined how they are going to get paid and what the projected income is going to be and he said that all profits are going to go back into the studio so he isn’t going to make any money. So basically, he is undertaking this endeavor and it isn’t going to make any money- AND it is going to make it so that he can’t grow his other business…

When I brought this to his attention he INSTANTLY got ugly and said that I just want to boss him around, I want to control him, he said: “Don’t you worry about it. I have everything under control. Stay out of my business.” So I told him not to talk to me about it anymore if he doesn’t want me to worry about it and ask him questions.

He is SUCH a dreamer. He drives me crazy because I am more grounded and logical than him but when I try and bring that to the table he shuts me down.

The real kicker was when he said: “Don’t worry, I will make enough money so you can buy stuff.” Give me a break. First of all, I work too. Second of all, I have NEVER EVER been materialistic- ever. The only thing I am concerned with buying is food, electricity, gas, heat, cable, internet, phone, clothes for my kids, school supplies for my kids, etc. He always turns it around on me. I just feel like he isn’t mature and grown up.

When we were talking about the business end and talking about numbers, schedules, logistics, etc. he goes into his dreams and crap. I am all about dreams but dreams can turn into nightmares if you don’t do some number crunching first. Ugh!!!

I have really lost respect for him as a man that #1 he isn’t thinking about the big picture and #2 he pulls the “I’m the man and you’re the woman so shut up.” card when I try and bring the pesky little details to his attention!

Do you think it would be a mistake to bring my concerns to his friend’s wife and ask her to please make sure that she insists that her husband put everything down in writing first? This will affect her too.

My desktop had been on for about 1 hour, read a couple of emails. I went downstairs for lunch when I returned?

my computer was off. I tried to turn it back on and nothing. My internet/phone/TV company came out today and changed the modem to an upgraded one, as they stated the modem they had installed previously won’t work on the new frequency in Laguna Niguel. They also changed a couple of cable lines outside at the cable box. When this happened on 1/26/12 my phones also died and the message on my phone was “check phone lines.” My phones run thru my modem also. Both phone lines I have were dead for a short period of time, even the land line was dead. A few weeks ago my laptop would not connect to the internet and my modem showed it was ok per my call to my internet company. When I called them again 1/26/12 and told them my problems they checked my modem from their location and said they could see a couple of resets as well as a couple of losses and would send out a technician. 1/27/12 I decided to turn on my laptop and to my surprise my wireless was connected and I could get on the internet. Surprise surprise!! I had tried to get connected many, many times previously and nothing. Could it be a power surge that knocked out my phones and desktop and regenerated my laptop?

How do I dial a number and make a call using my Anotec USB skype phone?

I have a USB skype phone (brand Anotec). I bought some Skype credit and then wanted to directly dial a number using the phone as instructed, first entering the country code, followed by the number. However, even though the LCD display on the phone shows the digits entered correctly with the Skype screen shifting to call screen, the window then gets ’stuck’ on the country dropdown option and nothing happens, even when pressing the call button. The only way to proceed is to cancel the call and start again. It is apparently impossible to directly make a call using the phone without resorting to the phone book. I have enough credit and the number is correct and the software used is Skypemate. Any suggestions to directly dial a number and get through?

Should I f*ck up my GPU/CPU to force my mum to get me a new PC ?

So I’ve been trying to convince her to get me a new PC(not a whole PC,just CPU,GPU and more RAM) but she keeps saying that its a waste of money.My PC can only run games from 2004 or something and I don’t even have a console ! She never got me anything worth more than 50~60$ and I rarely ask her to get me anything.And before some1 suggest me to get a job,guess what I already have 1 but it barely covers my internet bill(which is really high here),phone bill & some money for going out with friends so I unless I grounded myself at home and disabled internet/phone service,I can’t get it ! and yes my mum can afford a new PC,shes not poor -.-” I finished my finals today,got a mix of A’s and B+’s.

setting up VoiP with data?

I’m in charge of setting up our 2 person office. I have to set up 2 wired desktop, 2 IP(voip) phones and a wired printer. I have no idea how to set this up and which hardware to buy.

At my previuos small office, the IT person used a Cisco ASA5505 to connect those same equipment. Is the ASA 5505 overkill for this? Is there another cisco router that can do VoiP and data for cheaper?

I want to add android apps to a cowon plenue D3 but it is not a phone. App stores can only send if you have a phone number. I also want to know how to use the internet phone on my cowon D3 as it puzzles me can anyone help?

If you use skype on your cellphone to call someone via skype (not video) first of all, can you text off there, and second, does it show up on the cell bill? because I want to talk to one of my male friends, but my boyfriend is crazy controlling and jealous and he checks the call logs on my phone since I’m on his plan.

Will a Verizon technician come to my house?

Okay so a few months ago I got the Verizon TV/Internet/Phone bundle, and I got the multi-room dvr, and I only got that single box. So I just now ordered a set-top box from them in the mail, but I was wondering if they were going to send a technician to deliver the box and install it, or send a technician after the box arrives, or if I’m going to be able to do the set up and installation by myself.
