Jazz/Rock n Roll vinyl must haves?

I got my dad’s old phonograph out over Christmas and, after listening to a few of his records I decided I might as well take it with me and start a vinyl collection-not of the rare, originals, but just any rock n roll or jazz( Im looking to get more into jazz so if there are any good muscians despite the obvious ones i should get into, tell me) records I could find and play. I currently have from my Dad
