My toshiba sattelite charger suddenly stopped working?

I got the PC new from the manufacturer mid November 2011. I don’t use it 24/7 but it’s on for at least 4 hours a day and most of the time it’s plugged in. I never put any stress on the cord. I keep the adapter in the open as to not make it overheat. And I’ve never had issues with overheating before.

Today after using it unplugged for most of the day it was about dead so I plugged it in to charge and left it on (something was downloading). When I came back a while later it was off and the charging lights were not on. I tried booting it but it was totally dead so naturally I checked the connection from the wall to the first cord, the first cord to the adapter, the adapter to the PC, and the battery to the PC. Everything was hooked up tightly. I unplugged it all, cleaned it even though it wasn’t dirty, checked the wire for any breaks, and checked the socket to see if it was messed up. Nothing was out of place so I plugged it all back in tightly. It still didn’t work so I tried multiple other outlets and it’s still not working. At no point did it feel hot like it had overheated and it doesn’t smell like anything burned out in the adapter.

I’m going to try to get a hold of a voltmeter and see how far the power is getting before it quits. If push comes to shove I can just buy a new one. But I’d still like to know if anyone else has had this happen, if anyone knows what might have caused it, what exactly happened, and if there’s been issues with them overheating or burning out in the past.

It’s a Toshiba AC/DC adapter with a 100-140V input and a 19V output. Part number PA3715U-1ACA.
I got the voltmeter and the adapter checks out fine. which now makes me ask what is wrong with my computer?

I’m in a bit of a pickle. My boyfriend (of 1 year) and I are going backpacking for 3 months in 2 weeks’ time. We’re really excited, I’ve been before but he’s never been further than Spain. He’s also 18, and I’m 22.
Back in November I found out he’d been inappropriately messaging and webcam-ing other girls on facebook, skype and online chat websites. I forgave him as he said that that part of him had now left when he realised what he’d got to lose. It happened again 2 weeks later, but he said he’d stop again. There was no other trouble, except he was secretly watching porn occasionally. I asked him not to, and that I was there for all his sexual needs. I was still hurting and worried when I went away on a trip. I slept with another woman, and told him everything the next day on the phone, and proceeded to txt and reassure him for the duration of the trip. He went between hating me and being sexually excited by it, which was confusing for me. Recently, I have been sensing something was happening again, so I asked him, but he assured me nothing was happening. I have a key logger on my laptop and I now know for sure he has been watching porn when I have been at my volunteering job. I am at my wit’s end, as I know I can’t be dealing with lies. If he’d come clean and been apologetic, I would perhaps take time to understand. But deceit and betrayal is too much for me, as I found out everything by myself; he didn’t tell me anything. I wondered if anyone has any advice on how to proceed with regards to our 3-month backpacking trip?
I have just asked him now in text whether he has anything he feels he needs to tell me, but he says he doesn’t. Which he does.

I do know what I did was wrong, but I also know that in all my life I have NEVER cheated. Funny it should happen after it happens to me? I’m not saying it was a mature way to go about it, but I know it was a response to what he did to me for the first 8 months of our relationship. One drunken night that I hugely regret compared to 8 months of lies? Of course I’m biased, and I do appreciate your opinion, but I do feel that lies overpower mistakes. At least I had the decency to tell him, so that we could communicate effectively? As for the keylogger, I wouldn’t know anything that he was doing if it wasn’t for that blessed piece of technology.

slight shooting pains in butt and vagina ?

I posted a question about some shooting pains in my belly, but since then they have gone away. I keep getting what I think are braxton hicks contractions because my belly keeps getting super hard and a hurts a tiny bit, but its more uncomfy than anything. Anyways.. Now I started having a slight pain in my buttthole (sorry tmi) I was thinking maybe it was hemorrhoids, but now I am getting them in my vagina as well. And I oddly feel “loose” down in my private area.. Almost like I just had sex (Sorry again). I plan to try to gt into the drs today instead of waiting until my appt on the 10th.. but should I be super worried? Am i over reacting by rushing to the dr?

why wont my laptop shut down, sleep, or hybernate?

Every time i close my laptop and it should go to hibernate/ sleep i go to open it again and the screen wont come on! the little blue light is on and it doest stop making noises or anything! the only way i can make it come back on again is to hold the power button until it turns off and then i can turn it back on again and the screen will come on. i can also leave it for a couple minutes and it will force itself to shut down. it also wont shut down normally either! i tried using the start menu to shut it down normally and it stayed on the “shutting down…” screen for about 10 minutes and then forced a shut down. every single time i try to get on my computer after holding the button, shutting it down or just closing the lid when i get back on a window pops up that says my computer had shut down unexpectedly. it gives me the option to check for a solution to the problem and i click that but it doesn’t ever do anything. i took it to a computer repair place and the said they “cannot duplicate the problem”!!!??? HELP!

How to make a bow correctly?

So, once I was wandering around in a forest and got a crazy idea. Why not to make myself a bow? So I found about 4cm thick young tree. I chopped it down with my pocket knife (yeah, it took awhile), made about 1m length stick, removed the bark and found natural curvature. It was not big, but it was enough to see that tree was bent slightly. So I made some grooves for the string, got some fishing cord as the string, as it was the only thing I had. Then I tried to bend a bow a bit to put the string on. But it broken in half!!! What have I done wrong? Maybe I missed something?
