Should Amy Winehouse be sectioned for her own good?

No, she was just drunk or stoned or sometjing. But she is not mad. Geniuses have lots of little quirks and I wish people would look at her talent and not her bad habits.

i think she needs some sort of help before tragedy strikes, i love this girl, i hope she gets better. something aint right if she’s covered in S.I scars and see bloody and bruised at 4am in the morning

She’s a grown ass woman and technically she has he right to do as she pleases. She needs to save herself, external intervention may have a negative effect, pushing her further into her dark world. The media need to leave her alone. look what happened to Britney!

They only section people when they are a danger to themselves…ie commiting suicide….or to other people…she’s just a substance user…if they sectioned every drug user, the mental hospitals would burst.

Problem with any addiction is you have to WANT to stop and so sectioning would probably only be a temporary fix (pardon the pun)
Personally I think that she is a talented lady who needs to dry out/clean up. Until that happens I think she should be prevented from making public appearances. The best thing she could have done for herself is cancel her remaining tour dates so I guess that’s a step in the right direction.

That kind of thing could happen to any person to me that sounds like an isolated incident and Amy Winehouse shouldn’t be sectioned over an isolated incident it if was quite a regular thing i could understand the need to section someone

No. She might be going to meltdown but unless there’s proof she’s seriously mentally unstable she shouldn’t be deprived of her freedom.
