What do you think of Amy Winehouse?

For our drama coursework we’re creating a portfolio on FAME, and I need to have research of celebrities that provide evidence on my opinions. But I’d really like your opinion on celebrities such as Amy Winehouse and Britney.
How do you think fame has affected them?

I think that in the past, managers (and with actors, the movie studios) looked after their clients – they were handled like a commodity (of course, sometimes this failed: eg: Marilyn Monroe).
People like Amy Winehouse and Britney Spears are catapulted into fame, and with that comes excessive fortune. I think they are too often surrounded by ‘yes men’, hangers on and ‘fairweather friends’. As they acquire more money than they know what to do with, they seem to (sometimes) spiral out of control – as is evident in the case of Amy Winehouse. It’s a shame her family can’t step in and take control of her life like Britney’s dad did with hers.

i like Amy , her misic is brilliant
the media love it when she is looking and behaving badly
Amy has recently moved house and put some weight on , the media are no longer interested in a girl who is recovering from drug addiction
poor brittany has been exploited and has earned millions for other people
fame has messed them both up

I think she is a beehive girl that does too many drugs. Fame has led her to relapse and go back to drugs and seek out attention.
