Wii graphics settings?

Just read about an article on how to improve your wii graphic. They mentioned about using this component cable thingy instead of the default cables as the default cables only provide a very basic graphic resolution. there was one day whereby I happen to be browsing through wii accessories and found this component cable and they describe it such that we’ll be getting better graphics with thast kind of cable, the first thing I thought was.. wow… another scam to make us consumers spend money ! But now I read this article regarding that cable.. Do u guys actually see improve in the graphic ? Not those WOW kind.. because right now I’m using “Standard TV (480i)” there is a setting on top of it called “EDTV or HDTV(480p)”. Does that mean that when I get the cable I can use the 480p resolution which will give me somewhat a better graphic? I’m sure my TV is not HD supported, but for the EDTV I’m not so sure.. the back of my TV have white-yellow-red ports, it have 2 sets of it, i’m currently using 1 set of it to connect my wii.. Give me your opinions… I wanna hear more before I decide to buy one myself..

Yeah I got it.. However, my tv seems to have only video and audio.. the other set is the input or output.. vice versa.. My tv is the ‘fat’ kind with the big backside.. I doubt mine supports even EDTV… sigh…
